SANT’ANNA SCHOOL CELEBRATES THE EUROPEAN “BRIGHT” RESEARCHERS’ NIGHT 2018 IN PISA, PONTEDERA AND LIVORNO

The BRIGHT night on 28 September 2018 is a Europe-wide celebration of academic research. This year, the Tuscany BRIGHT initiative offers a wide range of activities in Pisa, Pontedera and Livorno. The event will bring the researchers in the squares and streets of 300 historical centres of the cities involved in the EU Horizon 2020 project.

The European Researchers' Night is the European Commission's flagship initiative aiming to bring researchers and the public closer and to encourage young people to embark careers in research. In Tuscany, under the supervision of the University of Siena, the Regione Toscana Authority, Universities of Firenze and Pisa, the Università per Stranieri - Siena, Sant’Anna School, Scuola Normale Superiore, Scuola IMT Alti Studi Lucca, CNR Pisa, and the researchers of the Istituto Nazionale di Fisica Nucleare and the Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia Pisa, will address the significant role played by higher education institutions in addressing topics such as health and wellbeing, emerging digital technologies and sustainable development.
